Hi, I am Rusty Townsend, Manager/Tenor, of Brothers Redeemed of Hickory, NC. We would love to come and be a part of one of your services. We have been together for a year and half and God is truly Blessing our Group. The following letter is a brief BIO of the group along with information.

Let me start out by saying First and Foremost we feel our call and mission is to Lift up the Name of Jesus Christ to a Lost and Dying World, we feel the call to share his message of LOVE, HOPE, LIFE and REDEMPTION. We believe in the one true God, whom sacrificed his Son so that all could be saved.

I will start with myself, Rusty Townsend. I am 36 years old and have been a Christian for 29 years. In that 29 years, I have not always been where the Lord wanted me, but now I feel his call on my life to share the Gospel in Song. I am currently the Minister of Music at Springs Road Baptist Church, in Hickory, NC. I have been a deacon, Sunday School Teacher as well for the church. I have been married for 17 years to my wife Robin, and we have two children Natasha 16 and Keesha 13. I praise the Lord in saying that my entire family is Christians. My past music experiences have been as follows, I was in the East Burke Chamber Choir, and Concert Choir. Also, I was a member of NC Honors Choir in 84 and Mars Hill Choral Clinic Choirs in 83, and 84. I continue to pray everyday that I follow the Lord's Will in my life and not my desires.

Our Baritone Singer, Keith Hendrix, is my Half Brother. We are more like full brothers we have been together since his birth. He has had his problems along the way. But in July of 2001 he came back to Lord, and has been on fire ever since. He has Joined Springs Road Baptist, and is active in the church as a Sunday School Teacher, the Choir, works with the youth program, and was nominated for a Deacon position this year. As I said he has been on fire for God. He is married and has 3 children. He is 32 years old, during our singings he gets to going sometimes and shares the word of the Lord in a mini message.

The Lead singer, Cameron Woods, is a phenomenal talent. He is only 19 years old, but when he sings you would think that he is 30 year old. He is not married but is very dedicated to the Lord. He has been a Christian since the age of 7 when he felt the Lord working in his heart and asked his mother and father prayed with him and he asked Jesus Christ in his Life. He is a member of Walker Road Baptist in Morganton, NC. He doesn't talk much, but he really sings with Conviction.

Well, that's a little about each of us. We have sung with serveral groups including The Anchormen, The Carolina Boys, The Beane Family and The Down East Boys. We have been together for a year and half. We have one recording that we put together after being together for 5 months. I must agree that it is not the best project but we had so many people wanting something from us. We are currently saving up enough money to do a more professional recording and look to do that the latter part of the year.

At this time, we are looking to do Saturday and Sundays, with an occassional Friday Night especially if it is on our way to a Saturday Singing. We are looking at going approximately within a 5 to 6 hour radius driving time from Hickory NC. At this time we go on a love-offering basis.
